You are NOT able to save a partially-filled application and return at a later time. Therefore, please complete the essays and have your resume ready BEFORE you complete the online application. Please see guidelines below.
The resume should be limited to ONE page in length and include your contact and school information. Your resume should highlight academic experience; leadership experience; work or volunteer experience; and honors, awards, and activities. Resumes of accepted applicants will be used in the internship placement process and shared with potential internship offices.
Letter of Recommendation
Please have an individual (other than a family member) who is qualified to speak to your leadership potential and commitment to public service submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf by January 10, 2021. The signed letter of reference must be on official letterhead and sent via PDF electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org from your recommender’s official e-mail address. The downloadable application and instructions preview includes a "Request for a Recommendation Letter" that you may share with your recommender if needed.
Please submit an answer to each essay question listed below. Responses should be approximately 300 words, fit on ONE page, and include your full name and essay question at the top of each page. Please submit each essay as a separate file.
How does the WLP experience connect to your personal and professional goals? What do you hope to learn from the summer that you can bring back to your campus or community?
WLP strongly values "paying it forward" and "community building." Please choose one of these values and explain what it means to you.
Unofficial transcripts may be submitted to give your application additional context.
